Hemp Mint Smoothie

Here’s a refreshing and nutritious recipe for a Hemp Mint Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
  • A squeeze of lime juice (optional, for extra freshness)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Make sure the banana is cut into chunks and ready to blend. Measure out all the other ingredients.
  2. Blend: Add the almond milk, spinach leaves, mint leaves, banana, avocado, hemp seeds, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ice cubes into a blender.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a bit more almond milk to reach your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and add more sweetener or lime juice if needed. If you prefer it colder or thicker, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Tips:

  • Add Protein: For an extra protein boost, add a scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder.
  • Green Boost: You can add more greens like kale or swiss chard for added nutrition.
