Mint Smoothie

If your mint leaves are very strong in flavor, try adding less leaves or add a couple of pitted dates or more banana to sweeten.

Makes two to three servings so store in fridge to use for a couple meal replacements or a refreshing breakfast drink for a couple days.

*For many smoothie recipes, a banana is required in the ingredients.  Buy a bunch of organic bananas (you can sometimes get a deal if they are a little riper than preferred); peel and cut into one-inch chunks, place on a cookie sheet and freeze individually.  When frozen, they can be kept in plastic bags in the freezer and pulled out a few chunks at a time. One banana usually equals about 4-5 one-inch chunks.

16 ozorange juice with pulp
2Small apples
4-6pieces of pre-cut frozen banana chunks*
2-3 TbsHemp Protein Powder
1/2 cupsFresh Mint Leaves (not packed)
1 cupSpring Water or 'milk' of choice (optional)
1-2 TbsCarob Powder (optional)

  1. Add orange juice, applies and banana chunks to high speed blender and pulse to begin blend, then add all other ingredients. Blend till smooth.
